FULL VIEW, PLEASE :boogie:

Hoho! Can you recognize who is he? ANDY LAU! He’s the person I admire ever, ‘coz… he is always serious and hardworking in his work. That’s why he is the so successful in his career now. Damn admire at his spirit! (Wah, first time I compliment my admiration to him thru net! :XD: )

I drew this by referring a poster of his previous movie “Infernal Affairs”, took me 2 and half days to finish it, as my 3rd colored pencil practice, drawn on… watercolor paper =p ; well, that’s sound silly, absolutely, as I should draw it on sketch paper indeed. Choosing a wrong paper really brought me a big problem – the color can’t stick on the paper properly! That’s why, I had to color it very waxy, and used up a lots of my colors, especially cyan, ultramarine and violet. :petting:

My scanner ruins this drawing! :cries: It looks more alike Andy Lau actually in my original artwork, but don’t know why after scanned into my computer., the portrait seem “crooked”. :sadangel:

Although the whole process of creating this artwork didn't go smoothly (tons of problems occurred), but I hope you all like it… lol… :boo:


About the movie “Infernal Affairs”
“Infernal Affairs “(Chinese: 《無間道》 ) is a stylish 2002 Hong Kong crime thriller. The Chinese title refers to the lowest level of hell in Buddhism, literally means "The Non-Stop Way".
“Infernal Affairs” is about a cop named Yan (played by Tony Leung) going deep undercover into the Triads, and Triad member Ming (Andy Lau), who infiltrates the police department. Each mole was planted by the rival organization to gain an advantage in intelligence over the other side.

hehe, I saw this oledi during on9...guess i'll be commenting the same thing again...toning, and color schemes look great, and congrats on the shading, looks very stunning. good control on the primary color made for the mood too. :D bravo!

color u already done super well...:D
but the figure ah...mm..still ok for me :XD:
this u need to improve is the eyes...no life..i think u put little bit toning changing will be better
besides tat his right eye "from his view..like pop out leh~~
the lips...mm..next time u show me the reference...coz now i see is abit strange :XD:

well ofcoz the good point is the coloring effect is great....love it so much~!
composition u get the marks...hehe

alrite...keep it up man...i know someday u will better than me :D

Thanks for taking time to comment it again, haha! From your comment, I can see, obviously, your understanding in art is very deep compare to others. BOGUS!=D Yea, this drawing is drawn by using a limited pallete - analogous color pallete with complement). It shown that a limited color pallete can create a classic look for an artwork! :w00t!:

Yep, the eye looks pop out already, haha! I shall add some shadow below the eye... :cries:
About the tone... indeed, I did make the tone changing; it varies from violet, ultramarine to cerulean blue, and then goes to viridian green. Is my scanner kill my drawing :XD: Maybe i should add more contrast for that part, so that it would look more obvious in my scanning result.
Ok, I will show you the reference pic when i meet you next time. =D
WalaoA~ Considering all the facts of your critique, there are so many things I hv to edit. I think I should submit the edited version next time.
